1st Church of San Juan Bautista
This church was built in the 15th century and enlarged in the 17th century. It is in the Gothic-Mudejar style. Inside is the main altar, the work of Alejo and Jorge Fernández from the 18th century. XVI, the custody of Francisco de Alfaro in 1575 and two organs from the 18th and 19th centuries considered the most important organic legacy in Andalusia. Its sacristy requires special mention, converted into a valuable museum where you can admire the paintings commissioned from Francisco de Zurbarán. It was declared an Asset of Cultural Interest in 1931
2nd Church of Santa María de la Mota
Located inside the Ducal Palace, it is the first Christian-Castilian foundation of the. XIV. It became the private chapel owned by the Dukes of Arcos, lords of Marchena. It belongs to the type of Mudejar church, with some touches of Romanesque style. Inside it houses the penitential brotherhood of Soledad, Virgin of Gaspar del Águila and the Holy Burial, a carving attributed to Jerónimo Hernández
3rd Church of Santo Domingo or San Pedro Mártir
This temple is located in the current center of Marchena, near the Town Hall. The true invocation of this temple is San Pedro Mártir. It was an old Dominican convent founded by D. Rodrigo Ponce de León, Lord of Marchena and Duke of Arcos in 1517. Inside, the presbytery with a Renaissance altarpiece stands out, on both sides the tombs of the founder and his descendants and tiled walls from 1638.
